About Patrice

Hi! I'm Patrice Jenkins, an organizational psychologist, author, and keynote speaker. I have devoted the past 18 years of my career to helping people prepare for the social and psychological side of retirement. 

I believe the "Hallmark" version of retirement has it wrong. Day after day of leisure does not make for a happy retirement. Instead, by recreating the conditions that contributed to thriving at work, we can design a retirement lifestyle that is purposeful, rewarding, exhilarating and fun. 

At the same time that I'm offering retirement wisdom, I'm also figuring out retirement in real life. Not just in theory, or according to research, or the other means by which I've developed a deep understanding of the psychological issues surrounding retirement, but through an explorer's mindset, 

I don't have all the answers. But along with you, I want to continue to learn, experiment, and be brave with my life. I invite you to join me on this great adventure called retirement!
